I like it, Khadir. And don't worry, we both are very cheerful with a good sense of humor. However, as senior members, sometimes we have to curtail certain activities that are unprofessional to the core; it comes with the job.

Rest assured, we treat each member on the forum as part of our team, and we understand that different personalities require different kinds of treatment. :)

Dear Ms. Archna,

I agree with you and apologize if I had exceeded my limits. At times, it's very difficult to make someone understand the basic things even though he is educated, civilized, and much more.

IF YOU MUST BE ANGRY, THEN FIRST: BE ANGRY
1. With the right person
2. To the right degree
3. At the right time
4. For the right purpose
5. In the right way

I assure you of my best for this community. I want everyone to think positively...ultimately the outcome will be positive. It helps to control our anger and keep our brain under control... IT'S PROVEN...

I AM SURE I WILL MAKE EVERYONE (CITEHR MEMBER) THINK POSITIVE... IT'S GOING TO BE A BIG CHALLENGE FOR ME AND I WILL SUCCEED AS I LOVE TO ACCEPT CHALLENGING ROLES.

With profound regards

Dear Khadir,

Your contribution helped us learn about the HR practices from that part of the world. Academics teach us about the plan of action, i.e., 'what to do'. 'What not to do' can come only with experience. On top of that, experts like you, who have spent so much of your time there, help us learn 'what should be done'.

Dear Ms. (Cite Contribution),

I sincerely appreciate your views about HR practices and academics. A true professional will have a clear picture of a complete action plan, which should clearly explain:

1) What to do,
2) What not to do, and
3) What should be done if there is no scope for what to do.

Step 3 is a backup and last option that will be triggered only after experiencing steps 1 and 2 practically.

Many are focusing only on what to do and what not to do, hence they are lacking leadership skills where they don't "think out of the box or dare to dream big and achieve big." One has to travel an extra mile to achieve something as desired or visualized.

a) I am not an expert.

b) If I consider myself an expert, then there won't be anything left for me to learn.

c) "I believe in acquiring knowledge that can support my existing knowledge; else, how can I assure myself that whatever I had learned is true."

This site is the best example of team building where professionals/experts like you provided us inputs, played the role of an academician, and made us share our practical experience while utilizing your and other members' suggestions/views/inputs.

It's a perfect example of synergy and synchronization, where we all are working towards a common goal.

I define a team as "a group of talented individuals working together, united with a high level of mutual understanding to achieve a common goal."

"We had all successfully created a perfect e-learning portal. Congratulations to all of us."

Hi friends. I am in Dubai on a Residence Visa. I have 3 years of experience working in IT/ITES as an HR Executive in India for one of the leading groups of companies. As I got married, I had to relocate and leave my job. Since March 2011, I have been in Dubai looking for HR opportunities but have not been successful. As far as job opportunities here are concerned, Filipinos are given more preference next to Arab nationals as they work for low pay, and the exchange rate is also high for them. Kindly let me know if anyone could help me with this or if anyone could refer me if you have friends here.

Thanks & Regards,

Hi Hussain,

Thank you for your valuable time and your inputs. I have registered on all the sites as you have mentioned, and I am learning UAE labor law as well. Hope I get one soon.

Again, millions of thanks.

Hi All,

I have read your comments. I am an HR professional working for a risk management company in Mumbai. I would like to know about the UAE Labour laws as we have employees with UAE work permits and are considering transferring them there. Please provide me with details regarding salaries/wages (minimum salary), salary structures, legal requirements, etc.

I would appreciate it if you could share your contact details so that we can coordinate effectively.

Thanks & Regards,

Hi Kadir,

Excellent! I really like the way you explained the scenario in the UAE. I know I am too late to reply to this as I have been working here in the UAE for the past few months only. The points you have explained are very true. The only thing I would like to say is, "Be positive, try your best, and when your best is not good enough, leave it in the hands of God."

All the best to the readers!

Dear Lakshmi Ganapathy,

I am glad to know that you are employed in the UAE.

Everyone on this earth thinks positively until circumstances or situations force us to speak bitter truths, making them sound negative. I understand that there are groups of people who do not value facts or truth.

Let me share my experience with you. Since I am involved in training activities, I enjoy analyzing behavior and attitude. I have studied the impact on employees:

1) Facts are outspoken.
2) Presenting informal (negative) messages as formal (positive).

Outcome:

A) Those employees who are mature (applied common sense/logic in their thought process) understood the true meaning of the message conveyed, regardless of its tone (negative or positive).

B) On the other hand, employees who have not applied common sense/logic, are not analytical/calculative, lack better perception skills, etc., reacted immediately or, let's say, they were demotivated. The main reason for their demotivation is that they failed to interpret the true meaning and accept facts.

Whatever we feel is a state of mind. Even if we perceive or receive something negative as positive, it is an ability to interpret messages/information. However, we should remember that negative remains negative and positive remains positive unless the situation is rectified or corrected.

We should learn to accept facts and live our lives accordingly. Truth may taste bitter, and many find it challenging to digest. Never allow negative messages/feelings to attack your mind. If you do so, then you have an incapable personality. We should develop the ability to control our minds rather than allowing them to control our lives.

We cannot leave everything to God, as he said, "First, help yourself to receive help from me." We need to work smart for a better future. As A. P. J. Abdul Kalam, the great personality, said, "We cannot change this world, but we can change our habits. Our habits will help change ourselves, which can change the world."

Have a wonderful life.

With profound regards
