Hi,

I am Banupriya. I have completed my MBA in HR this year. I would like to work as an HR executive, HR assistant, HR generalist, or HR coordinator. I am living in Tamil Nadu. I have come across only one or two openings for freshers. Please guide me on how to conduct a job search tailored to my profile.

For HR roles, they often require 2-3 years of experience. How can a fresher apply for HR jobs? Thank you very much for showing interest in my career path. Please reply to me. I have attached my CV. If there are any openings available, kindly refer me.

With regards,
S. Banupriya

Hi,

I would like to suggest you to register on all job portals like Monster, Naukri, and Times Jobs. Please don't forget to keep them updated. Also, try registering with some consultancy, so they can assist you in current job openings. The market is good now. If you are interested in the IT field, there are many openings for HR in that sector. So, do your search well and find a good job soon. Best of luck.

Hi Banupriya,

As suggested by Mr. Karthik, register your profile with well-known job portals (Naukri.com, Monster.com, Timesjobs.com, and Shine.com). Approach job consultancies/recruitment agencies in your area.

Take the help of senior students from your college. Try to find out where they are currently working. Stay in touch with them if they are friendly and helpful. Request them to inform you about the latest job openings in the companies where they are employed. In addition to advertising on job portals and in newspapers, companies also prefer applications that come through employee referrals.

There is plenty of information available on the internet. Search and explore various possible resources. Some companies and job consultancies post job vacancies on forums, blogs, and social networking websites, in addition to listing them on job portals.

There are numerous vacancies in public sector organizations over the past few years. Visit the websites of these companies (BSNL, ONGC, BHEL, BPCL, Indian Oil, Coal India Ltd., Vizag Steel, etc.). There are promising career opportunities for banking professionals in India. State Bank of India (SBI) recently advertised notifications for Probationary Officer positions.

I wish you all the best in your job search.

Regards,

PavanKumar

Banu,

When you have qualifications in Electronics & Communication, why are you trying in the HR field? I would suggest you search in the Engineering field where growth prospects are better than in HR.

Do not post your CV in public forums as some unscrupulous elements may try to misuse it.

pon
