Hi everyone,

I'm working in the textiles industry where manpower is crucial for production. We are facing issues with absenteeism during festivals and shift changes. I would like to understand how to analyze absenteeism and determine strategies to control it. Your guidance on this matter would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Snehal,

I am also working in the industry. Snehal festival is important to everybody, but we should only focus on the pre-production planning of products. If you would like attendance of employees, please provide me with some benefits for those days. This is my opinion.

Thanks,

Hi Snehal,

A good problem to have on hand. You can approach it in two ways:

1. Conduct an analysis of absenteeism for the past 2-3 years to identify the festival days with high absenteeism. Based on the analysis, create a festival holiday calendar for the company. This may help address the issue.

2. To reduce absenteeism, you need to persuade your management to consider offering some form of incentives or benefits (not necessarily in cash) to employees who show up on those festival days. This approach will motivate them and help tackle the high absenteeism problem.
