I went through all the posts but couldn't find anything useful. We prepare MIS reports in our organization too, but they are very different from the explanations mentioned below. What others are helping you understand is just a summary report regarding your employees' background, profile, and salary details. In reality, an MIS report is a detailed report that studies the actual HR functioning in an organization concerning absenteeism, overtime, manpower shortcomings, differences in related fields in different months, and variations in salary over the last 6 months. This report will show you what HR really does in the organization—a comprehensive overview of the core workings of the HR department in an organization.
