I am a new member working as an HR Manager in a very small company, the only person in the HR department. The problem is that this is my first job, and I have comfortably completed 5 years with them working in HR. However, now that I have shifted to Delhi, I am not aware of many things in HR as I was mainly doing the work of a recruiter. Can anyone suggest a practical course that would help me justify my 5 years of work experience and secure a good job? In interviews, I am being asked about things like PMS and HRIS, which I have not had much exposure to during my time as a recruiter. Having spent five years in my comfort zone, I would appreciate some guidance on what to do now.

I think you should consider taking up a crash course on Advanced HRM from a reputable consultancy in your city. They will surely update your knowledge on core HR activities such as recruitment, generalist functions (appraisal, PMS, etc.), payroll, and other administrative/MIS activities related to HR.
Look for better options there as it may last for one month with 1-2 hours daily. This course will enhance your knowledge and boost your confidence in demonstrating your experience.

A very simple way to overcome this problem is to just make a search on Google and find some books on HR and Personnel practical and implement them. There are several ebooks on the internet, and I am also sending you some HR materials. I hope this will help you a lot. If you have any questions or queries, feel free to write.
