Why are all of you unnecessarily worrying about the Final Notification? As I mentioned in my previous reply, it is only a ceremonial thing. No changes will be found in the Final Notification. As an in-house person, I assure you all that the enhancement of the wage ceiling will be effective from 1.4.10. We are also attempting to change the definition of wages to Basic + D.A. like EPF, which is a lengthy procedure. It may take the next 1 or 2 years to finalize. Don't waste your valuable time on this issue; the final notification will be released within 2 weeks.

I have hired a new employee who needs to be registered with ESIC. Her husband is employed in a private company and has already registered her under his name in ESIC. My question is, does she need to register again through my company, or can she continue with her husband's registration?
I believe that fathers-in-law and mothers-in-law are not covered by ESIC. Please correct me if I am mistaken.
