I require responses from the human resources professionals in the service companies. What are the reward and recognition practices prevalent? Is there a method for employees to give suggestions regarding the same? How is the effectiveness of such practices evaluated? Almost all organizations rely on the suggestion scheme, which is really successful. The rewards, most of the time, are monetary, but it should also include appreciation. We can achieve this by highlighting the best suggestion of the month on our various notice display boards and in our regular journals.

Also, there is clarification required on how an organization can measure the effectiveness of such reward and recognition practices. Is it through reduced retention and improved productivity?
If yes, how do we justify that it's because of these practices and not other extraneous factors, as it's difficult to separate one practice from other initiatives taken by the organization to make itself more agile. Can we assign a percentage contribution of reward and recognition practices to the increased effectiveness? If yes, how much? Response awaited.
