Hi, I truly appreciate your initiative in helping others. I also need your help. I have changed my job. I want to withdraw my PF money, but my previous employer doesn't want it. You are requested to tell me how I can withdraw my PF. I don't want to inform my previous employer that I am withdrawing from PF. Is it possible to withdraw PF without informing him? Kindly suggest.

Hi Driksha,

You can fill the PF claim forms (Form 19 and Form 10C) and get them attested by any ESI gazetted officer or your bank manager. Ensure you show your payslip reflecting PF deductions.

Hi Megha,

You can fill the PF claim forms (Form 19 and Form 10C) and get them attested by any ESI gazetted officer or your bank manager by showing your payslip, which indicates PF deductions.

Hi Driksha,

I agree with Mr. Karthik. Nobody can stop your PF claim. If you want to close the account, you can do as told by Mr. Karthik. Otherwise, if you want to transfer the previous savings to a new account provided by your present employer, you can transfer it by submitting Form 13 through your present employer.

It is possible to transfer your PF account to a new employer without seeking permission from your old employer. Additionally, it is also possible to close your old PF account with a previous employer without their knowledge.

Dear Driksha,

You can fill out the PF claim forms (Form 19 and Form 10C) and get them attested by any gazetted officer, then submit them to the PF office for processing.

However, I suggest submitting your claims after April 2010 because before that, your previous employer has to submit the PF annual returns (Form 3A & 6A). If you submit before April 2010, the PF officer will send your claims to your previous company to request Form 3A.

With regards,

Hi,

It is possible to withdraw your PF by submitting the forms (19 and 10C) to a gazetted officer or bank manager. However, it will be sent to your previous employer for confirmation and for certain accompanying forms like - Form 3A (the annual PF payment details), copies of Form 5, Form 10, and details of break in service. The previous employer needs to furnish the above information for your PF to be withdrawn, and hence it is not possible to withdraw your PF amount without the knowledge of the previous employer. Having said that, your previous employer has no reason to reject your PF withdrawal application.

However, if the present employer is covered under the PF act, it is better to get the amount transferred because of two reasons:
1. The interest it carries
2. The continuity in service to be eligible for the pension.

Best regards,
Sree

Hi,

Yes, I too agree with Mr. Kiran Kumar. If you want to withdraw your PF without the knowledge of the previous employer, withdraw it after April '10 with the attestation of a Gazetted officer or your Bank Manager, because this is the time when the employer has to fill the annual PF Return.

Thanks,
Amit

Thank you, Kiran and Sree.

Both of your pieces of information are helpful. Please inform me if I am working in Mumbai, can I get the forms signed from the gazetted officers/Bank manager from other areas/states.

Thank you,
Alok
