Hi, I have joined a company as an HR executive recently, and the ex-HR hasn't handed over anything to me. She has already been released from the company 15 days back, and that too early as she wanted to and got the relieving letter. The company requested her on her LAST WORKING DAY to give the handover to the new HR first post joining, and then the company will complete her F&F on the same day itself. Now, she is showing tantrums in giving the handover and making unreasonable requests going against company policies for her F&F.
She is demanding deduction of half-day's salary for late coming for previous months, which is against the company policy. Moreover, the salary breakup is there in her appointment letter, which has her signatures on her joining, and we are giving her the same bonus amount mentioned on the papers. She is asking for more bonus, claiming the appointment letter has an incorrect bonus amount. She is not cooperating with anybody in the company for her F&F and handover. We really think she might do something to defame the company.
Please suggest how to handle her and safeguard the company.

It is not for you to tackle her. Hand this problem over to the CEO to deal with.

I think you need to stand firm and don't yield. Now that she is coming with more and more untenable demands, you need to call the bluff and say a firm NO. Even if she has not done the full handing over, you need to pick up the threads and stabilize the operations. Take the help and guidance of others and be optimistic.
