Dear Sir/Madam,

In my company, one employee left without providing any official intimation via email or hard copy. However, he did inform the General Manager (GM) and HR orally about the reasons for his inability to continue with us. In such a scenario, is he eligible for his full and final settlement?

Hope to hear from you soon.

You can process his F&F settlement, after completing his separation formalities. You can contact the employee and ask him to send his resignation letter and initiate separation procerss.

In such cases, we need to refer to the terms of engagement. Does the offer of appointment contain a clause regarding the Notice Period before leaving? If so, what are the conditions to initiate the Notice Period when the employee does not serve it? However, the Company is obligated to pay all legitimate dues in such cases.

JSM
