My family details have been removed from my ESI card. All family members are Aadhar linked. Now, when the employer tries to activate it, an error message shows: "Person with this Aadhar details is linked with another IP." How can this problem be solved? Please suggest what to do.

If more than one ESI card contains the same member in family details, then the latest visit to the dispensary for medical benefits with any card will remove the details from the other cards. In case a child is linked in both the father and mother's ESIC cards, when the IP or the child visits the clinic for ESIC-based treatment, it gets authenticated, and the department removes the names from the other linked cards. In another scenario, if a child attains majority and gets his/her own ESI card by joining any job, then also the name is removed from the parent's card.

ESIC family benefit specifies the word "dependent" on the IP. If the member is not "dependent" / "dependent" with more than one ESIC card holder, then the latest visit card would only contain the details. Balance cards will make it inactive.

Thank you for the reply.

However, I am unmarried, and no one from my family is registered with ESI. My father and mother are linked with me and Aadhar verified. Now HR is trying to activate me under "Update Employee Details," but this error appears.
