Dear All,

I am not able to get UAN numbers for new employees due to a problem with seeding of Aadhar details, which has become mandatory. Every time, it is showing a mismatch of the data of birth, etc. In the absence of UAN numbers, it is not possible to remit the PF contribution in respect of new employees. There is no suggestion from the PF office except to say it is mandatory, which everybody knows. This is not the fault of the employer who is feeling the pinch of it. Please let me know a solution.

Dear Mohan Ji,

Please enter all the details as per your Aadhaar card. If the year of birth is mentioned in the Aadhaar card, download the Aadhar card again as there is a probability that the date of birth has been updated. The Government of India (GOI) has rectified the Aadhaar card where the year of birth was there; now the date of birth is coming on the newly downloaded Aadhaar card of the same person. Enter the Name, Date of Birth (DOB), Father's Name exactly as in the Aadhaar card; it will be registered. Sometimes, a server error occurs, or there is an Aadhaar authentication failure, but retrying it will save after one or two tries.

Hi,

We too faced a similar problem. Please try now, as the PF department has upgraded their site. Now we have completed all the new joiners on the site. If you do not have Aadhaar, you cannot create or link an employee for payment. If you are creating a new UAN, please use details as per Aadhaar. If an employee has only the year of birth specified in Aadhaar (for example, 1980), then use DOB as 01/01/1980; it will accept this format only.
