Dear Sir,
I am Mayank Raj Srivastava. I joined my previous company in 2012, and the company deducted my EPF amount and provided me with UAN number 100017166913. However, after three years, I resigned from my previous company and joined a new company.
During the joining process at my new company, I forgot to provide my UAN number, which led to me being issued a new UAN number by the new company. Now, I would like to inquire if it is possible for the EPF amount from my previous company to be transferred to my new EPF account, considering the new UAN number issued by my new company.
I am feeling quite confused about this situation. My current company is refusing to transfer my previous EPF amount to my new EPF account.
Kindly advise me on the best course of action.
Regards,
Mayank

Please submit PF Form #13 for Transfer to your Present Employer. After Present Employer Signature, send it to PF Office where your Previous EPF Contributions were remitted. UAN means "Universal Account Number."
Please improve your memory power. Stop getting confused; this is solely due to you not furnishing your previous PF A/C # and UAN to your present employer.

The employee has to provide his/her previous EPF details to the present employer at the time of joining the new establishment EPF for ease of linking the account. However, as you have failed to do so, please file a transfer claim in Form 13, duly signed by either the previous employer or the present employer, to the EPF office after obtaining a fresh UAN in the current employment. The employer has no role in submitting or executing your transfer claim once you have a new UAN.
You can utilize the online service of the One Employee One EPF portal as well, provided all details match the member in both establishments, including the name, relation name, relation, date of birth, and the present UAN being KYC compliant.
