I was going through the case of Jet Airways' acquisition over Air Sahara, which was a $500 million deal but had to be withdrawn because of numerous employee issues. What could have been the best strategies in this case if the deal had not been called off?

During a merger and acquisition, the employee culture must be properly addressed and understood; otherwise, they will oppose the deal. This includes the cost of employees who will still remain after the merger.

Secondly, the issues relating to their roles and responsibilities must also be well defined and planned, which ultimately helps in achieving the goal of the new organization. These are all important aspects that need to be well understood for success.
