Dear Mr.Rajiv Sharma,
You have not mentioned clearly your problem. Please check from your appointment order the conditions laid in as far as termination of either side in both probationer and confirmed cases If it is mentioned, naturally you have to follow. No doubt that, you are received your relieving or acceptance letter that will be subject to the terms and conditions of notice period either side.. Before resigning a job you must think in all angles. If you want leave immediately, you submit the resignation, give notice period in writing and request the employer to relieve at the earliest. In your case if you have violated the clause of notice period and then your HR is correct.

Dear Rajeev,
We have come across many cases where the HR was completely clueless at the time of recieving the resignation notice and sending out an acceptance.
Please inform the HR to let you know if and how/when they communicated to you immediately upon your resignation letter to remind you of the notice period.
If they have not sent any reminder of notice period to you, but realize their mistake at the time of processing a full and final clearance then they are clearly not the best of HR following their own processes.
I can assure you that some of the large and reputed IT companies too have many internal flaws and do not follow the processes properly.
Please get back to them, the unfortunate thing with HR in IT companies is dealing with incompetence
