Salary is also to be related to qualifications and post-qualification experience. For example, if someone is an MBA in HR and has 7 years of experience after completing their MBA, the remuneration may differ compared to another HR person who is non-MBA but has the same experience. In fact, it may be different even for those who are MBAs but from different institutes (for instance, IIM and a private college offering PGDM in HR, which is equivalent to an MBA).
In addition to the above, there will be differences between large, medium, and small-sized companies within and across industry verticals. The scenario may further vary between public sector, private companies (whether listed or non-listed), and the government sector.
