Yes, people registered with ESIC will receive medical benefits even if arising due to pregnancy from the first day of their joining. Cash benefits for maternity will start after 9 months of their joining, with a condition that they should have worked for 70 days in the respective contribution period.

Where is your office in Hyderabad? If possible, why don't you arrange an awareness camp for your employees through the concerned ESI official, such as the Inspector/Branch Manager available at Branch Offices.

Maternity Benefit (MB): Maternity Benefit for confinement/pregnancy is payable for three months, which is extendable by a further one month on medical advice at the rate of full wage subject to a contribution for 70 days in the preceding year.

Maternity Benefit is payable to an Insured Woman in the following cases subject to contributory conditions: Confinement - payable for a period of 12 weeks (84 days) on the production of Form 21 and 23. Miscarriage or Medical Termination of Pregnancy (MTP) - payable for 6 weeks (42 days) from the date following miscarriage on the basis of Form 20 and 23. Sickness arising out of Pregnancy, Confinement, Premature birth - payable for a period not exceeding one month on the basis of Forms 8, 10, and 9.

In the event of the death of the Insured Woman during confinement leaving behind a child, Maternity Benefit is payable to her nominee on the production of Form 24 (B). Maternity benefit rate is 100% of the average daily wages.

Mujhe aapse kuch information chahiye. Meri wife ne August 2017 mein private company mein joining ki thi, lekin ESIC mein entry 1 December 2017 se shuru hui hai aur usi samay wo pregnant ho gayi thi. Woh regular job par jaari rahi hain. Ab unka 9th month shuru ho gaya hai, jisse delivery kabhi bhi ho sakti hai. Main unhe ab maternity leave ka fayda kaise dilwa sakta hoon, iske liye mujhe kya karna chahiye? ESIC mein humne abhi tak koi form submit nahi kiya hai. Aap hi suggest karein ki main unhe maternity leave kaise dilwa sakta hoon.
