Hi All,
Greetings..!!!
This is Chandra Shekar. I have completed MBA (HR) and B.Tech (ECE), with 2 years of experience as an IT Recruiter. I want to transition into a HR generalist role. Please guide me on the future aspects.
Which areas in "HR operations" do I need to enhance? What would be beneficial for strengthening my profile?
Thanks,
Chandra

Dear Mr. Chandra,
An HR Generalist is mainly involved in every aspect, such as Recruitments (Talent Acquisition), Employee Engagement, Training and Development (T&D), Performance Management System (PMS), Payroll, Statutory requirements, etc. On the other hand, HR operations focus primarily on the overall development of the organization, including job detailing, quality at work, project management, Six Sigma, etc.
It's your turn to understand that you have to learn from the basics to shine. Good luck!

But is it preferable to take training in the Generalist area? I mean, there are so many institutes providing training in various HR activities like Core HR, Payroll, etc. Please let me know as I'm also one looking for a job change into a generalist profile (currently working as a recruiter).
