The process of recruitment is very generic and does not differ from one industry to another. The process typically goes as follows:

1. Analyze the manpower gap
2. Arrange for a Manpower Plan
3. Budget for the Manpower Plan
4. Identify and create a job description including skills, knowledge, competencies, and education
5. Allocate the position a slot in the salary scale and grade
6. Set annual objectives for the position
7. Advertise the position
8. Shortlist suitable candidates
9. Interview candidates
10. Select a candidate
11. Appoint the chosen candidate
