Hi,

This is quite natural, but the fear can be overcome:

1. Be prepared with your subject thoroughly.
2. Anticipate the type of questions they can ask and prepare accordingly.
3. Don't feel yourself to be inferior to anyone.
4. Be bold and don't be afraid to make mistakes.
5. Be polite yet confident.
6. Smile and talk - it indicates confidence and quiets the butterflies in the stomach.

Do your best and forget the rest.

All the best.

Dear Friend,

If you can understand Tamil, then watch "Kurudhi Punal," a Tamil movie by Dr. Padmashree Kamal Haasan. He'll deliver the following dialogue to the villain,

"Do you know what courage is? It is a perfect acting like we don't have fear."

It's true. Most courageous personalities also possess fear, but they overcome it by hiding it behind their success. Forget fear; do your business as if it is your hobby. Definitely, you'll overcome the fear and follow the simple steps as Mr. Riyaz pointed out, especially his last point, "Do your best and forget the rest." I strongly believe in that.

"துயர் பெற்றவர் பெறாதவர்

துயர் பெறாதவர் பெறும்"

Hope you'll come back here after overcoming your fear and succeeding in your business.

"தன்னம்பிக்கை மனம் விசாரித்து செயல்படுத்துக;

செயல்படுத்தி நிறைந்தால் தன்னம்பிக்கை நிச்சயம் இல்லாது."

All the best.

Dear Friend,

In my opinion, just believe in yourself that you are more perfect than your boss in proposing issues. You are the one and only who can handle and proceed with the project, so don't fear facing your boss because you are the boss in your field.

Dear,

Go with valid points that others don't have. Remind yourself that you possess the right and appropriate information that others lack, which will automatically boost your confidence and help you overcome fear.

Hope this advice is helpful to you. I have followed the same principles in sharing this with you.

Dear Khifah,

Fear will always be there even if you are in the business for decades! But Riyaz has provided quality and practical inputs. Thanks. To Riyaz's list, I would like to add 2 more points:

1. It is perfectly okay to admit that you do not have the answers to their questions BUT promised them that you will get back with the answers soon. Once you promised, MAKE SURE YOU DO JUST THAT! This adds honesty, sincerity, and credibility.

2. Smile, talk, and LISTEN - you need to listen attentively in order to understand their needs before you can provide them with suitable solutions.

Personally, I do 1 more thing, i.e. I will say a little prayer asking for "Wisdom of thoughts, Wisdom of speech, and Wisdom of action to successfully complete the meeting". :)

"If you think you are beaten, you are. If you think you dare not, you don't. If you like to win, but you think you can't, It is almost certain you won't. If you think you'll lose, you're lost. For out of the world we find, Success begins with a fellow's will - It's all in the state of mind. If you think you are outclassed, you are. You've got to think high to rise, You've got to be sure of yourself before You can ever win a prize. Life's battles don't always go To the stronger or faster man, But soon or late the man who wins Is the man WHO THINKS HE CAN! 'Whatever the mind can conceive it can achieve' - ALL THE BEST.
