As per the notification circular of the government, which has been posted in recent forum discussions on this topic, it is mandatory for all government offices and public undertakings to keep their offices closed on October 14, 2010. So far, there has been no notification circular released for private firms to also call off work for October 14, 2010.

Dear Shikha, could you please confirm if your company is a private limited or public? Also, can you inquire within your company if they have announced closure on October 14 due to some legal mandate?

Government Establishments and Public Sector Units

This is regarding the government establishments and units under the public sector. Our private sector will continue to operate as usual. However, if anyone wishes to declare a holiday, that is a separate issue.

In Noida, all factories and shops will remain closed on the 25th of October due to the panchayat elections. Please find the notification attached for reference.

Thank you.
