Hi, when we talk about HR MIS, it crosses all functions in the HR process from recruitment to exit and a little bit about HRIS (application). You can talk for one hour without stopping about HR MIS and HRIS.
Interview questions:
1. What types of reports do you prepare?
2. What kind of options do you use in Excel?
3. How do you handle confidential information with somebody in the organization?
4. What are all the important things to consider when you pull an HC report?
5. What is the termination date?
6. Tell me something about other reports like HC, Leave report, Recruitment database, assignment reports, termination report, Goals report, etc.

Dear all,
An MIS report is actually a snapshot of the information required to generate a response from the users. Therefore, it should not only share what has been done but also indicate or prompt as to what further actions are expected by the concerned persons. Obviously, MIS reports should vary based on users' requirements and should be decided jointly by the concerned users.

Dear Sarvaniprasad,
Normally, they used to ask the following few questions:
1. MIS - Management Information System: How do you utilize your MIS reports for management?
2. What is the purpose of generating a particular report for management?
3. Do you maintain a track record of your MIS reports?
4. How does it benefit your department/division or company? If yes, in what manner, etc.
