mukesh the only thng dat will help you is lot of interaction.....try to talk with people in english, if you are wrong tell them to do the correction. dont feel ashamed of that.might be u are weak in communication but might be very good in somethng lse.so without avoiding it try to improve it.....practice makes a person perfect.......dnt avoid it...try to face it...... and one more thng can help you.... read journals, newspapers, daily atleast for half an hour....talking in front of a mirror will increase your confidence...... try these out..will definitely get a good result....all the best.....

Hi Mukesh!
Reading is one definite way to improve ur skills. Try starting with simpler things like the daily newspapers and magazines like India Today and Reader's Digest. Reader's Digest is damn good.......also if ur looking for specific help on the vocabulary front - try Word Power by Norman Lewis - its a phenominal book. You will also have to start slowly developing a habit of conversing in English - tell a couple of close friends and make a deal that u will only talk in English. It will be awkward at first but it will help later.......
Also - if ur a movie buff - try watching more ENglish movies - pick up DVD's which have subtitles and concentrate on the dialogues - BBC is another fatastic channel if u want to better ur English!
Hope this helps
Thx

Inorder to improve your communication skills you have to do the following which will certainly help you to improve your language skills
1. Think and speak only in English as much as possible
2. Always try to listen to English news available from TV and radios and through the websites of BBC and CNN in the net.
3. Read whatever materials that you can get hold of
4. Learn atleast 2 new words from the dictionary everybody
5. Whenever you come across any new word try to understand the word meaning and try to use it in your conversation.

Hi mukesh,
Tell me something, if you don't know how to communicate well, then how come you are able to write a flawless message. Mukesh you need not ask these things, because communication in English hardly matters if you have the matter to talk about. This is my thinking but might be you may have a different perspective about this. Same things applies everywhere mukesh. It is us who can change perspectives of ourselves and others, and it highly depends on the way we think of our strengths and weaknesses. Trust me when they hired you they didn't see whether you know english or not, what matters to them is your knowledge base. All i suggest you is to concentrate on your knowledge base or area of specialization and automatically everything will get smoothed up.
