Good evening, Dear All,
This is Abirami from Chennai. I am in the HR field for the past 1.6 years, and I am 19 years old. I believe that this is the right time to choose my real career of my life. From a young age, I wanted to work in IT as a Software Engineer, but unfortunately, I got a job in HR and I am continuing it. I am going to finish my B.Com this year. Here the confusion starts...
I don't know whether I have to choose MBA or MCA. Some of my friends say that it's difficult for me to get into IT as I did my B.Com in correspondence without doing my +2. But some say that it's easy to get into IT if you have strong technical knowledge. I am very much confused about whether I should study MBA or MCA and how both will help in my career. I need all your suggestions on this.
If I could do MCA, which course should I take - JAVA or .NET? Also, in which institute?
Warm Regards,
Abirami J.

Dear Youngster,
I appreciate your passion. This is the age when one should be enthusiastic about a career. You have the same aggressiveness, so keep it up.
Dear Abirami,
Nowadays, IT is diversified into every industry and domain. There is no field isolated from IT. IT is absorbed, involved, and has a grip in every field, including our HR field.
Now, you have two options.
You can continue your job but pursue an MBA in HR and learn SAP HR. If possible, learn ABAP as well. That's it, you will become a software engineer. With your functional/domain knowledge in HR, you will definitely accomplish well and be a sensation.
Alternatively, you can do MCA in regular and learn your favorite technologies. You will become a software professional for sure.
Education and career are the two wheels of my cart. After my +2, all my education has been done along with my job.
My Kid,
Know the hidden secrets of life; there is a lot more than our passions, desires, and ambitions.
Remember one thing - "Nothing is unfortunate, everything is for our profit." Be positive, nothing is impossible. Trust yourself; you are really great.
Accomplish your goals and help the needy.

Hi Abirami,
Don't worry, just be happy. Yes, just be cool and meditate for 5 minutes. Now listen, your ambition is to become a software engineer. Am I right?
Yes, it's so easy to become one. I am providing some details below; just read and understand. OK
1) Join MBA - (IT/HR/System/Operations) in distance or regular mode, but don't resign from your job. HR knowledge is very important these days in the market. Many MBAs and MCAs are struggling to find jobs.
2) This HR experience will help you when you join in SAP HR because an MBA with experience and SAP is preferable. So, don't quit your job.
3) If your aim is just to become a software engineer, join any reputed institution to learn J2EE, Java, .NET, and more. There are many development programs available. Here, you can become a software engineer without needing a PG degree. OK
4) But don't quit; if the company is not good, join somewhere in the same position. OK
5) I am currently studying MBA 1st year from ICFAI University, but what's the use without field experience to learn SAP HR?
Just forget everything and decide on something I mentioned above. I am ready to help you in this regard.
Bye...
Thanks,
