Hello everyone, I have a team lead interview for a BPO coming up soon, and it is going to be a first for me. I have noticed a lot of experienced folks in the forum, and I would really appreciate any help that I get from you guys. I seek help with how to manage a team and any other general questions that one has to face in such an interview.
Thanks.

Hi, You can just login to chatgpt and check questions related to role that you would be interviewed. You would get plenty of suggestions there. Those questions would be most probably relatable.

I don't get why this panic button. I hope you worked under a TL in your career so far and I'm sure you would have gained a fair idea of what your TL was doing and more or less same thing is expected of you as well. Probably you should equip with peculiar problem you would have come across and the solution where you would have involved, your experience with those challenges. You have to also come out with innovative ideas for improving your career prospects which ultimately help your organisation to grow further. All the best to you for a bright career.

Dear Anas Naeem,
The probable questions asked in the interview for the position of Team Leader (TL) are as below:
a) Under how many TLs have you worked so far? What are your observations about the qualities they possessed? What are your observations about the qualities they did not possess?
b) How have you groomed yourself for the position of TL? Please tell us the specific efforts you have taken.
c) Tell me about a situation where clashes arose out of personality differences among the team members. How did the TL handle the situation? How differently you would have handled the situation?
d) Have you seen the TLs giving feedback to their subordinates? Has your manager given feedback to you? If yes, what did you do upon receiving the feedback?
e) Unforeseen absence because of sudden exit or sickness of the team members is common. Tell me a situation where the TLs in the past managed the deliverables despite a shortage of manpower.
f) Have your TLs generated ideas to innovate the systems or processes? If yes, then tell us a specific example of what they did and the benefits derived by the team or the organisation.
g) Maintaining emotional balance while getting the work done is always a challenge. Tell me a situation where the past TLs maintained an emotional balance in the face of a setback they got. Did the TL fail to maintain the emotional balance? What is your learning from either example?
h) When do you foresee to become a manager? Over and above the qualities required to be a TL, which qualities a manager should possess?
i) What efforts have to taken to know yourself better? Have you taken any tests to understand your personality? If yes, then comment on the reports of those tests.
I hope the above questions are more than sufficient.
Thanks,
Dinesh Divekar
