Dear Rattanthakur,
Please note that after filing of ECR & Approval EPF Challan, a challan is generated. In reference to your query that your employee joined on 25/04/2024, there is no column for mentioning the number of days worked in ECR. However, there is a column to mention NCP - Non-Contributory Pay Days/Loss of Pay.
Please ensure to frame your question thoughtfully for a response from the members.

1) Ensure either ESI or EPF. 2) EPF required to mention only NCP days (LOP) 3) ESI required to mention total payable days of the month.
Hi Sir,
Thank you for your reply, but my question was regarding an employee joining the company on April 25, 2024. When creating the EPF challan ECR, how many days can we mention as NCP days? This is because the employee only worked 5 days that month. Should we consider the remaining days as NCP days or not? Please advise.

Dear member,
Please note that you have confirmed that the employee has joined on 25/04/2024. Consequently, his Date of Joining for EPF is also 25/04/2024. There is no question of mentioning NCP from 01/04/2024 to 25/04/2024. If there is any NCP from 25/04/2024 to 30/04/2024, only that has to be mentioned. Please update yourself about ECR/Filing EPF Monthly Return.

(Fact Check Failed/Partial)-The user reply is incorrect. When calculating working days for PF ECR, the day of joining is counted. In this case, for an employee joining on April 25th, you would mention 25 days on the PF ECR.
