I don't know what EPFO is up to, but such SMS and emails are causing unnecessary and entirely avoidable tension for every compliant employer. I guess EPFO launched whatever they are implementing without any testing and validation. Crazy...

Many employers have received emails along similar lines. It is a system-generated email. However, I would suggest replying to the same email address, attaching the above ECR, and stating that you have complied with all PF requirements, and there is no default as stated in their email.
