Respected Sir/Madam,

I have been serving a company for the last one and a half years, and they sent me an email on 6th June stating that I am being released from the project. According to the organization's policy, if I am on the bench, I will receive full salary for two months and half salary from the third month onwards, with no salary thereafter. Due to this, I began looking for opportunities outside and eventually secured a good offer. In this new organization, the policy states that if I am not in a project, they can release me from the organization within a day.

However, when I submitted my resignation email yesterday, they informed me that I have not been released from the project and that they are planning to retain me. I do not wish to be retained, as my new joining date at the new organization is on the 10th of July, which I cannot afford to miss. Additionally, there is no buyout policy in my current organization. Could you please advise me on whether returning the office laptops to the company and resigning forcefully would allow me to join my new company?

Hi,

Hold on. Wherever possible, try to opt for proper relieving. Engaging in relieving on your own could result in termination, followed by overlapping PF and a negative impact on BGV. Therefore, it is advisable to discuss with your HR about the provision for a 1-day relieving period.
