Suddenly, the head of the company in India called me and informed me that I have been fired. He mentioned that I had been discussing office matters with other employees without providing any updates to him. There was no prior email communication regarding this decision. I had joined on May 15, and just 9 days later, the CEO of the India division called me to convey the news of my termination.

Hi,

Normally, even in the case of misconduct, the proper disciplinary process should be followed, including a domestic enquiry, and a fair opportunity should be given to the employee to defend and represent his arguments. Just a mere telephonic update that you were terminated is not valid. Normally, no CEO of any company will be involved in such a process and will not call an employee at the branch level. It reveals the unprofessionalism of the company. As they terminated you within 9 days from your date of joining, I suggest you ignore this and look for a better offer. In case of no PF deduction, it's better to remove this company data from your profile.

However, if you want to challenge them legally, first of all, check your Appointment Order (if issued to you on your joining date) and look for the separation clause in it. If you haven't been involved in any misconduct or haven't violated any rules and regulations of the company, then you may file a complaint with the Labor officer of your office jurisdiction. If your nature of work is supervisory, you can file a civil suit.
