A person joined an organization in 2003 and worked for 8 years. He only had an NSSN, and no UAN was allotted at that time. He left the organization in 2011 and took a break for 6 years. After the break, he joined another organization, which opened a new EPF account for him. Now, he is unable to withdraw his money from his old EPF account because there was no KYP at that time, no Aadhaar, etc. How can he access his old account and retrieve his funds?

Dear [Recipient],

As per my knowledge, he transferred his PF amount offline (revised Form 13) to his current account. His old employer filled out his Form 13 with his Aadhar and PAN card details (duly signed by the employee and employer). Additionally, his current employer signed his Form 13 for EPF transfer.

Offline transfer is from the old PF account to the new PF account (no need for UAN no.).

I am attaching Form 13 for you.

Thank you.

I joined an organization in 2005 and worked for 6 years. There was no UAN allotted at that time. I later joined a new company where UAN was available and opened a new UAN.

Now I want to apply for the certificate. May I know what is the procedure?

As per the PF department, I need to create a new UAN for the work done in 2005 for 6 years and link that UAN to the new UAN (last company worked) and apply for a scheme certificate.

When I tried, a demographic error message appears, and I am unable to generate UAN for the old period.

After checking the old PF record, I found that my father's name does not match with my PAN card as per PF record.

A PAN card name mismatch can be the reason for the demographic error. I doubt usually errors in Aadhar, name, date of birth, and mobile number can be the reason and not a PAN card father error.

Please advise why the demographic error appeared and failed to generate UAN for the old PF account.
