Can company want ITR document of previous organization during background check?

Hi

It depends. If you are joining in the middle of financial year Payroll /Accounts team will ask for computation of previous employment along with your investment projection to determine your monthly IT deduction.

Hi,

Computation of total income you can get it from your past employer. It is nothing but a statement showing all your earnings/allowances earned, investment proof declared and Income tax deducted. What you received from your Parents /Friends will not form part of total earnings as for as new employer is concerned.. However if you had received high value money through Parents or known circle through Bank transaction then at the time of filing you need to calculate that pay additional income tax apart from employer paid.

The question is not really clear what do you mean ITR of previous company? Are you talking of your ITR? Or the company you used to work for?

No Need of giving your income tax document ., It is your private Document. and no Back ground verification can be done through ITR because it can create and file based on our requirements i.e., Loan purpose, tax purpose and other purposes. Besides we can also change the Income by revising the return.
So it is not useful for the Background verification
