Hi,

I got an offer from reputed MNC.My problem is I was working in a startup as a director for past 5 years which I confounded.I don’t have form 16 besides it’s been only one year post company’s registration.will this be a problem in onboarding and BGV process?

I don't understand these questions that people are putting on the forum these days.

We do not know the company, and in any case, we don't have know how the company will think because chance of any of us having worked there is slim

Isn't it more obvious route to ask the HR or the onboarding officer on whether they will accept the work you did as a director of a startup? Do you really expect someone here on the forum to give the reply?

Dear Anonymous friend,
You are stating that you were a director in a start-up which I presume may have been a formal business. If so, then you would have some form of documentation about the business and about your directorship or proprietorship. You may use that. If it was informal business, then you should state upfront on the business activity and show proof of transactions of any to your account. The underlying requirement is that you should be honest and transparent with your employer and you will not be troubled by BGV.
