Hi, I have a question regarding my experience letter. I worked with XXX company for 10 months (21st May 2019 to 28th Feb 2020). However, due to some reason, I resigned and was not able to serve my complete notice period. I mentioned the dates in my resignation email (joining and LWD), and my senior acknowledged the email. In March, when COVID-19 hit, I couldn't visit the office again as I had relocated to another place. When I called them for an experience letter, they simply refused. Could you please guide me through the process of obtaining my experience letter? Additionally, I did not receive the salary for the last month.

Dear Anonymous,
Issuance of an experience certificate is purely a company management's prerogative. Many companies have a set of policies that govern various sections in the HR Department, such as recruitment, selection, appointment, joining induction training, probation, confirmation in services, establishment matters, training and development, performance appraisals, annual increments, industrial relations, etc.
Issuance of experience certificates/service certificates shall be governed by these policies. I personally know that some companies will not issue an experience certificate to employees who have a tenure of service of less than one year.
So please try to meet them, request them.
