Hi Fellow HR Professionals,
Can anyone help me with the CTC structure for Bangalore city? I want to understand the components and contributions. If you could assist with the CTC structure or how I could calculate the CTC breakup for all employees, including those who come under ESI and those with a salary above 21000. Your urgent help is greatly appreciated.

CTC varies from company to company depending on the salary, perks, and other facilities extended. For example, some companies have medical facilities, some provide medical reimbursement, some offer medical insurance, and there are organizations with no facilities at all. Therefore, it all depends on the direct and indirect benefits extended to the employees. There is no fixed formula applicable across organizations to calculate CTC. Analyze your company expenses, factor in all the employee expenses, and compute all the indirect expenses for each employee head. Add to it the direct expenses, and you can determine the CTC for each position.
For instance, if the company provides transport facility and incurs expenses for it, add together all the expenses in providing transport. Then, divide the sum by the total number of employees, and the result could be one component of the CTC. Similarly, you need to compute all other such expenses made for the employees. It's important to remember that the CTC is a misleading concept; the actual salary received is only a fraction of it. The aim is to inflate it as much as possible.
