Even with the allure of a three-fold salary increase in the new job offer and the current position being on a contract basis, the applicant should consider negotiating to buy out the notice period instead of breaching the contract.
If the current employer pursues legal action for breach of contract, the applicant may face significant consequences, including a permanent blemish on their professional record. Therefore, it is advisable for the applicant to respect the exit clause stipulated in the current contract before transitioning to the new job.

In the case of contract employment, it is assumed that your immediate employer, who is the contractor, and you have created an employment bond with terms implied or expressed. Kindly fulfill those terms of exit and then leave with peace of mind considering long-term career.
You may also meet with HR and explain that in general, no employer blocks the way of an employee who has better offers in hand which cannot be met internally. Try that too and leave the rest to God; everything will be positive.

Hi, thanks for the reply. It has only been two months since I started working, and the manager's attitude changed drastically when approached with resignation and relieving. He has been rude, badmouthing in front of other people during meetings, adding mental stress with unnecessary work.

In a bad situation like bad mouthing, etc., non-tolerable, no doubt, but employees can raise issues before their superiors or before the grievance machinery of the company. They can also go on record and process to become further action justifiable.

Hi,
I am not commenting on law, etc. My simple question is this: you got a good opportunity and you left the job within 2 months. If the employer gets a person with the same caliber at a lower cost and asks you not to come from tomorrow, what would you say? It means you are not a loyal employee. Once you join the company, you are still searching for another job. Everyone is entitled to a rise in their career, but in my opinion, this is not the way. As an employer, once we select a candidate, we are done. We should not be searching for a cheaper employee.
