Hello Everyone,
I have worked as an HR Generalist for 10 years. Now, my kids are grown up and want to join, but work from home. Why is it difficult to get a job after a sabbatical? I am not getting a chance even though dynamics have changed, and you may not be able to cope up, etc. Sometimes, I feel, will I be able to justify? I really want to do a job for myself. HR is my passion. Looking forward to positivity and hoping to get a job WFH soon.
Thanks

Make a beginning, maybe small. Your ten years of experience as a generalist in HR is not carrying much weight as you have not become a specialist in any field. Probably, you may join some short-term online courses on subjects like SAP, Data Analytics, Counseling, etc., to enhance your chances.

Dear Member,
Your question is "Why Is It Difficult To Get A Job After A Sabbatical?" Have you checked the definition of sabbatical? Is your query consistent with the definition?
It appears that there was a break in your career due to family expansion and when you wish to restart your career, you are finding difficulty in getting a job. However, taking a break to develop one's education is different from the break taken due to family obligation. The preceding member has suggested you do an advanced course in HR; nevertheless, the important fact is the ability to give accurate references of the terminology associated with the HR field. If there is an inconsistency, then you need to fix this inconsistency first.
All the best!
