Dear Sir/Madam,

One of our employees has left the job and withdrawn PF. A few months later, she rejoins the same organization, and PF has been deposited into the same previous PF account number. She left once again and wants to withdraw PF, but EPFO has raised the issue of the date of joining. What should be done in this case?

Thank you.

The new EPF number is issued to a new employee, and the same procedure must be followed upon rejoining. It is unclear how the same number was allocated to the employee after her rejoining. Please send your response to the RPFC, outlining the details and explaining that the error was unintentional but occurred due to a misunderstanding by the assistant handling the issue.

The employee's employer number was [insert number] during her initial employment with us. Her date of joining (DOJ) was [insert date], and she left her job on [insert date]. Subsequently, the employee rejoined us on [insert date] with the employee number [insert number].

It would be advisable to arrange a meeting with the RPFC to explain the mistake that occurred and seek assistance in rectifying the issue.

Hello,

The EPFO works with a unique PF number. If an employee has an EPFO number, it will remain the same even if they join again.

Could you please provide us with details on the object that EPFO has taken regarding the joining data? This information will enable us to assist you further.
