Dear Sir,

Employer 12% PF contribution is deposited in EPF (A/C 1) without splitting 8.33% in pension (A/C 10) and 3.67% in EPF (A/C 1) of 85 employees for the period of April 17 to Oct 19 (31 months).

How to correct this issue? What is the solution to solve this problem?

Thank you.

For employees above 58 years of age, the procedure is correct. However, if the employees are below 58, contact the dealing clerk of your establishment group. If he can assist you, he will ask you to submit Form 3A and 6A hard copies for two years. He will then reconcile the same and send it to the EDP section for an update. This process is time-consuming, and regular follow-ups are required.

Alternatively, you can request the department to cancel the respective ECRs and resubmit them with the correct calculations. The department will cancel the challan/ECR and refund the money to your bank. However, this process may incur interest and damage due to delayed payment.

Details can be obtained through EPF login passbook. Study that section and then rephrase the query.

If there is any irregularity, the department may request Form 3A to reconcile the contributions. Form 3A dated before October 2017 can be provided directly to EPFO by the establishment's HR department in response to the query raised by EPFO.
