When any industrial employment, whether in the private or public sector, is brought under the Schedule of the Minimum Wages Act, 1948, and the appropriate government concerned fixes minimum wages by factoring in dearness allowance as a component of wages for that employment, it becomes mandatory that the sum total of wages payable shall not fall below the sum total of the statutory minimum wages inclusive of the dearness allowance, which is linked to some Cost of Living Index and thus assumes the variable character.

Dear colleague,

Generally, shops and commercial establishments fall within the purview of the Minimum Wages Act of the State. Please review the provisions of your State's Minimum Wages Act/Rules for the Schedule of Employment/coverage.

Our management has given me a new portfolio of training and development for employees. I am now responsible for conducting the training program following ISO 22000:2005 standards, and I need to prepare the necessary documents. Therefore, please provide me with guidance on how to prepare documents related to competence assessment, effectiveness evaluation, and implementation of employee training.
