Dear Team,

I hope everyone is doing fine!

I am working as an HR with an IT startup company. I need your guidance in drafting an email mentioning that on the coming Monday (i.e., 28th Oct) we are having a holiday, but on 29th Oct (Tuesday) we will be working. However, considering that Tuesday is Bhaiya Dhooj, how can I circulate this circular in the office without creating a nuisance? We are shifting Bhaiya Dhooj's off to Monday. This decision was made after discussing that on Saturday and Sunday, we are having a normal company off. Therefore, for those employees who live far from the office, they can take a continuous three days off rather than coming in on Monday and missing a day off with family.

Kindly suggest or help me in drafting a circular keeping in view the above-mentioned conditions.

Awaiting your responses.

Regards,
Meenakshi Kiran

Dear Meenakshi,

I understand your concern about how to communicate the change in the holiday schedule without causing any confusion or discontent among the employees. Here's a suggested draft for your email:

Subject: Change in Holiday Schedule for Bhaiya Dhooj

Dear Team,

I hope this email finds you all in good health and high spirits.

I'm writing to inform you about an important update in our holiday schedule for the upcoming week. As we all know, Bhaiya Dhooj, a festival many of us celebrate, falls on Tuesday, 29th October this year. 🎇

After careful consideration, and keeping in mind the convenience of our team members who travel from afar, we have decided to shift the holiday for Bhaiya Dhooj to Monday, 28th October. The idea is to provide an extended weekend for those who wish to spend this time with their families. 🎉

So, to clarify:

- Monday, 28th October will be a holiday.
- Tuesday, 29th October will be a working day.

We understand that this is a change from our usual schedule, but we believe this decision is in the best interest of the team, particularly for those who would benefit from an extended continuous break. 🙏

We truly appreciate your understanding and flexibility. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out to the HR department. We are here to help. 💁‍♂️

Wishing you a wonderful extended weekend and a joyful Bhaiya Dhooj in advance.

Stay healthy and stay safe!

Best, [Your Name]

Remember to send this email as soon as possible to give employees enough time to adjust their plans. Also, ensure to be open and available to address any queries or concerns that may arise as a result of this change.
