I have a few queries regarding per diem in the Indian IT industry:
1. What are the per diems given by different IT organizations in India?
2. Is it the same across all the grades in the project or grade-wise?
3. Can somebody share the policy for my reference?

Are you discussing DA with those who are posted on a project outside your normal duty places?
There is no hard and fast rule as such; it depends on the firm's policy, financial soundness, difficulties faced at the site, targets, etc. The quantum of monetary allowance thus paid can also vary across the status and category of those deployed. As this is in addition to the monthly remuneration paid as salary and perks, the Project Allowance/DA, as they are called when posted within India, will be subjected to income tax as income from salary.
