Kindly refer to the Factories Act for a clear understanding. To the best of my knowledge, it is 1 day of leave for every 20 days worked, resulting in 18 days of leave per year, which is the minimum requirement as per the Act. However, the company can provide more than the minimum if it chooses to do so.

If the company is covered under the definition of Employer given in the Shops & Establishment Act or in the Factories Act, the relevant provisions for CL, SL, PL, etc., become applicable. Each Act has provided the details of the number of days and the eligibility of employees for availing such leaves.
