I have transferred my PF from the 1st to the 2nd company, and from the 2nd to the 3rd company. The 1st company being exempted. Now, while claiming for an advance claim, the current EPFO is rejecting my claim stating that I have not completed 7 years of service. Upon raising a grievance to the current EPFO, they informed me as follows: "Please be informed that the transfer-in received from [2nd Service] with the date of joining 30.11.2015. The transfer-in from [1st Company] has not been received to account for the service details as 2012. Please share the Annexure-K copy of [1st Company] if you have transferred [1st Company] to the Current PF."

1st Company: DOJ - 16 Jan 2012, DOE - 27 Nov 2015
2nd Company: DOJ - 30 Nov 2015, DOE - 1 July 2018
3rd Company: DOJ - 2 July 2018

Question - Shall I create a new transfer request from the 1st to the 3rd company now? I can see this option on the UAN portal.

Given the situation you have described, it seems there might be a discrepancy in the transfer of service details between your previous employers. To address this issue and ensure the accurate calculation of your service period for the PF claim, you can follow these steps:

Steps to Resolve PF Transfer and Service Calculation Issue:

1. Check Transfer Status: Verify the status of the transfer of service details from the 1st company to the 3rd company on the UAN portal. Ensure that the transfer from the 1st company has been accurately reflected in your current PF account.

2. Contact EPFO: Reach out to the EPFO office handling your current PF account to inquire about the status of the transfer from the 1st company. Request clarification on why the service details from the 1st company have not been accounted for in your current service calculation.

3. Submit Annexure-K: If you have the Annexure-K copy from the 1st company, provide this document to the EPFO to support the transfer of service details. This document can help in validating your service period with the 1st company.

4. New Transfer Request: If the transfer from the 1st company to the 3rd company has not been processed correctly, you may consider initiating a new transfer request from the 1st to the 3rd company through the UAN portal. Ensure all necessary documentation is submitted accurately.

5. Follow-Up: After initiating the new transfer request or providing additional documentation, follow up with the EPFO to ensure the transfer is processed correctly and the service details are updated accordingly.

By following these steps and ensuring the accurate transfer of service details between your employers, you can address the issue raised by the EPFO regarding your service period and advance claim eligibility. It is essential to maintain clear documentation and communication throughout the process to facilitate a smooth resolution.
