Hi, I was working in one of the garment industries in Bangalore. Due to fewer orders and the need to minimize costs, the company asked more than 20 staff members to resign within a month, promising to settle their salaries and dues within that time frame. However, it has been over two months now, and they are not responding properly. Kindly suggest the options available to us.

You should take it up with the recognized union if you have one, or jointly visit the concerned officers and press them to settle without delay. Submit an official request letter giving them 15 days' time. If there is no response, take it up legally and lodge a complaint with the Labor officer concerned. In any case, the claim should be settled together with interest for the delay until the actual final settlement. Don't worry.
