Hi,

Our organization gives employees the option of whether they would like to contribute to PF or not. In cases where employees are not willing to opt for PF, we need to take a declaration. Can anyone guide me if there is a specific PF form for declaring the above situation?

Need assistance.

Dear Raja,

Please note, if PF is once deducted for the employee, it has to be deducted even though the salary limit is over and above the prescribed limit. The above-given option is only available for the employees who have never been a member of PF and their basic is over and above 15000/-.

Manoj Kamble is right, you cannot opt out of PF just because your salary has exceeded Rs 15,000.

If Rajeesh is not an existing member of EPF and along with that, the salary at the time of joining the company is more than Rs 15,000, then only you can become an excluded member of PF. For that, you have to give a declaration in Form 11. Form 11 is a declaration of exiting PF. If you declare that you do not have a PF account, then you may be excluded from PF by the employer. Normally, this form will be given to you by the HR person carrying out the onboarding processes.
