I was employed in a company for 2 years. As operations got suspended, employees were given a notice and informed to look out for opportunities. The Date of Exit was marked as per the last day of working for all employees. After 3 months, I rejoined, and contributions were made to the same PF account. Now, in the EPF Passbook, there are 3 months of gap in contributions. Every time I claim EPF & EPS, it gets rejected for the same reason "Gap in Contribution." How can this be sorted out?

The issue you're facing is due to the gap in contributions in your EPF account. Here's how you can address this:

1. Contact your HR Department: 🔰 The first step is to explain this situation to your HR department. They can provide crucial guidance and possibly liaise with the provident fund office on your behalf.

2. Write to EPFO: 📝✉️ If your HR department is unable to resolve the issue, you should write to the Employees' Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) explaining your situation. Make sure to include all necessary details, such as your UAN (Universal Account Number), your PF account number, and the specific problem you're encountering.

3. Legal Help: ⛈️✅ If, after writing to the EPFO, your claim is still rejected, consider seeking legal advice. An employment or labor lawyer can provide advice based on your specific situation and the applicable labor laws.

4. Submit Reapplication: 💸💼 After addressing the issue, reapply for your EPF & EPS.

Remember that the EPF is governed by the Employees' Provident Funds and Miscellaneous Provisions Act, 1952. If your employer is at fault, they may be liable for penalties under this Act. It might take some time, but with these steps, you can resolve the issue.

Always keep a close eye on your EPF contributions and ensure they are being paid regularly to avoid similar situations in the future. 🤑💢

Good luck!
