Is it must to disclose the weekly off day to Labour Office. Because we have around 40 labours. It is not possible to fix a particular day to particular person in retail business. Depending on situations and colleagues they may take leave. So we can not disclose a particular day. Is it acceptable or not

Every employee is entitled to weekly off legally. There is no need to give weekly off to every one on the very same day. This is not possible in your nature of duty which is 24 x 7 x 365 duty schedule. It's possible to give them paid weekly off for every 6 days of work/duty (not leave as you mentioned) by rotation which fact has to be published on the Notice Board and same should be submitted in the prescribed form & in the manner as per the applicable Labour Act. Inter-change such weekly off in rotation is possible amongst themselves due to practical difficulties and on emergencies. This temporary adjustment between them need not be intimated every now and then. If attendance is marked properly that is good enough. But I used to see some security agencies have arrangement for engaging men continuously for 2/3/4 shifts at a stretch intercepting with breaks for natural calls, food and thereafter give them one day duty off. I wonder how this can work risking the health of men concerned.
