Hello Friends,

I am a UI Developer with a total experience of 6.3 years (1.6 yrs + 6 months + 1.3 yrs + 3 yrs current). I have been advised by my seniors that having this many short tenures in my career is not a good sign, as I have only 6+ years of experience across 4 companies. I am not currently planning to switch companies, but when I do decide to make a move, I am considering omitting my second company experience (6 months) to reduce the total number of companies on my resume, making it appear as though I have 6.6 years of experience across 3 companies after 1 year. However, I am apprehensive about this act of concealing information as I am registered with NSR and am a part of NASSCOM.

I believe that the 6 months of experience is not as significant as having an additional company listed on my resume.

Now, I have 2 questions:

1) When I joined my 3rd company, I was required to register with NSR for my previous 2 companies (1.6 + 0.6). If I choose to hide/remove this 6 months of experience with my next employer, could it potentially cause any issues since I am registered with NASSCOM?

2) I am seeking advice from my seniors on my idea of reducing the number of companies listed on my resume.

Many Thanks in advance.

Leave your experience as it is. Making changes leaves a trial and could cause problems at subsequent stage. Make a decent coherent justification for changing a job in 6 months and stick to that.
