Hi all,
For the past 1 year, I have been trying for job in SAP as a fresher, but no calls,no interviews.I know showing fake experience is unethical, but i dont have any alternative. After showing fake experience now iam getting calls, but still i feel guilty.Friends i have some questions.
1. If suppose i tell the truth in interview that i have shown fake experience, what would be the interviewer's reaction? Will accepting the fake go negative against me?
2.Whether i should accept the fake in technical round itself? (or) Maintain the fake, prove myself strong in technical round &then accept the fake in HR round?
3.Some of my friends(who have shown fake and well settled in MNC's ) are telling that during interview u should never accept as fake i.e., u should act confidently as a real experienced guy.Even if the interviewer come to know that u r a fake guy, but seeing ur confidence level ,he/she will select u ? Is it true?
Friends, particularly interviewer's , HR's please give me ur valuabe solutions.Other's suggestions are also welcome.

Dear Senthil,
My frank advice would be – No! Please do not commit such blunder of faking resumes. It’s the widespread disease against which we all have to jointly fight. Faking in resume will not make you qualified either!!
There would be always potential risk of embarrassment... CV lies are not just worth it. When you submit your c.v and interviews are conducted, the employers believe your c.v to be true and imagine their reaction which would be more than shock when they realize that it was unreal. It’s unnecessary wastage of employer’s time and efforts.
Best way would be getting your expert friend’s help or help from experts in C.V writing. Get your C.V designed by them. Highlight your skills and potentials in right manner and I'm sure you will succeed.
Do not do anything just because you see all others doing it.
Really appreciate that you do feel guilty at the wrongdoing - you realize it is something which in unethical.
All the best in your job search.
Take care

Dear Senthil,
Risk level is high if the company has a process of reference check and companies take prompt action on people who found to be given a false information or the forged documents.
This may affect your caree even after few years.
Rather be patient and get an offer for which you deserve.

once again my $0.02 cents on the topic at hand....
DO NOT FAKE ANYTHING IN YOUR RESUME.
why not ,? you'd ask ...
i'd say only one thing in conjunction to sgurwe03's movie dialogue
"AS YOU SOW, SO SHALL YOU REAP, IF ITS RICE YOU SOW, IT'S NEVER COTTON YOU'D EVER REAP"
Take care, live life and if you dont get a job may be its because you are looking in the wrong places or the wrong time. - personal experience.

Wat crap..
Any company that is worth it, would always have a strong reference check mechanism. If U want to join a computer teaching institute in some village, then maybe faking Might help, but that's as far as it goes. In some organisations I know for a fact that they check even the previous than the last employment.
Why take a risk of being blacklisted from a good company. HR is a small and well connected community, and such stupid incidents are laughed at...

Honesty is the best policy. If you lie once it is enough to get you into a quagmire that will end your career. May I suggest you rewrite your CV to show your achievements or if you find it difficult to do so please invest in getting a professional to write your CV.
Lying about your qualification and/or experience is NOT the way to get a job.Besides that what on earth makes you think that confessing at the interview will land you the position? Good grief! Its quite the contrary. wake up and realise that dishonesty will get you nowhere.

Dear Senthil,
As many sane people who replied to your post have indicated, do NOT hurt your long term career with false information. You seem to be a person with a conscience, which is very commendable. It also indicates that you will be troubled more in any job that you get with such information. Unlike the person who has encouraged you to falsify your resume, many of us have struggled a lot to get the first job, so we are suggesting what we have practiced.
