I am shabeer , I am a ESIC insured person, my mother affected Breast cancer , initially we have did surgery in private Hospital under Tamil Nadu state Government insurance. After surgery tumor biopsy report is came . that result is Her - 2 is positive . after the came biopsy report Dr. said she need a 6 chemotherapy and special injunction 18 or 12 (Herceptin - cost 40 to 50 k / per injuction) that injunction very expensive.
1. We can able to take cancer treatment for my mother (Chemotherapy + Herception injunction) under ESIC insurance or Not?
2. Then that injunction cost is covered ESIC insurance or not?
3. By chance my mother take treatment in ESIC empanled hospital means that expenditure(reimbursable) amount when will be credited in my account?

According to my knowledge, Cancer treatment will not be given at ESI hospitals, but they will refer you to the nearby corporate hospitals. You can get exemption from medical expenses, like Herceptin injuction which you are in need of. Contact your dispensary for further details.
